Bridgestone Americas debuted Firestone’s newest tires, the Transforce HT3 and CV2 tires, which are engineered for highway vehicles, wet-weather performance, and low-speed refinement.
“Our goal for the Firestone Transforce HT3 and CV2 tires was to create two surefooted commercial highway tires that hold up to the strenuous duties of fleet service while focusing on a quiet and long riding experience,” said Jeremy Norwood, chief engineer, Consumer Replacement Product Engineering. “Transforce HT3 and CV2 deliver the performance that fleet managers expect—so much so that they won’t even think about the tire.”
The Transforce HT3 tire comes in LT sizing for heavy-duty trucks. It includes a high rim diameter between 16” and 20” and provides an off-shoulder sidewall design with noise abatement, as well as a tread design compound to resist irregular wear. The HT3 includes reinforced with interlocking 3D sipes for uniform stiffness and resiliency, and the open shoulder slots and high see-through void accelerates water evacuation from the pattern.
Meanwhile, the Transforce CV2 comes in EURO-C and LT sizing and is suited for highway and last-mile delivery vans. The tire features a sidewall defense rib for durability as well as chip-tear resistance, and has a lowered shoulder-slot angle to improve snow traction. The CV2 also has interlocking sipes for uniform tread stiffness for resiliency, and has an open shoulder design and high see-through void to accelerate water away from the tread pattern.
