The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians on Friday, May 14 at 4 PM ET entitled “What’s a Fuel Trim?! - Decoding Gasoline Engines for the M/H Truck World.”
As final mile delivery continues to grow, so does the medium duty commercial truck market. Many customers in this segment prefer gasoline engines for their perceived simplicity and cost per mile with regards to maintenance. This continuing shift in demand requires even more learning for predominantly diesel technology technicians. There are several misunderstood gasoline-unique concepts such as fuel trims, oxygen sensors, and catalytic converters that need to be understood before proper diagnostics can take place.
Justin Ridings and John Renno, with Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, provide perspective and insight on this shift and will show participants some live data on a complete vehicle chassis dyno.
For those who are not sure they can attend, ASE encourages them to register so they receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar.
