Pro-Cut is offering ongoing live B17 lathe training

Feb. 7, 2025
The trainings run for one hour and include an overview of the equipment’s features and answers to any questions from the audience.

Pro-Cut is offering free, live online demonstrations and training on the B17 Super Bench combination lathe every Thursday at 11 a.m. ET. The training and demonstrations are run by Geoff Womer, VP of product and marketing for Pro-Cut.

“Geoff Womer is an excellent instructor and knows the B17 Super Bench combination lathe inside and out,” said Jeff Hastings, president of Pro-Cut. “The B17 is packed full of useful features, and this virtual training gives attendees the opportunity to pose any and all questions about how this powerful tool can be used to increase productivity and profitability.”

The B17 allows users to switch from resurfacing brake discs to drums quickly with the P2  cutting head and can work across a range of discs and drums. It also automatically changes the feed direction when the user spins and locks down the head with a leaver. The lathe uses a DC motor and comes with electronics that track usage and provides service reminders.

The demonstrations do require attendees to register, which they can do on Pro-Cut’s website. The next sessions for February will be held on Feb. 13, Feb. 20, and Feb. 27 from 11-12 p.m. ET. As of this writing, there are trainings and demonstrations scheduled through June.
