EZDS releases software update for GS1 and GS2

May 24, 2017
The new update will provide added coverage, and include one new function added to the PC Utility designed to improve data collection.

EZDS announced it's second major software update release of the year for the G-scan 1 and G-scan 2.

The new update will provide added coverage, and include one new function added to the PC Utility. This feature is designed to improve data collection for software development and de-bugging.

The new function, upon  agreement by users, will automatically collect the vehicle diagnostic data saved in the SD card when he/she is attempting to download the software via PC Utility. The diagnostic data is then sent to EZDS servers.

When the user attempts to download the software, a pop up screen will be displayed, asking for agreement and confirmation on sending the data.

Setting is located under the 'Update Alarm' section, where users can enable or disable the message reminder by selecting either ON or OFF.

Coverage details can be found by visiting g-scan.gitauto.com, under the News Release tab, and selecting "2017 May Official Update Release."  This can be accessed by logging into an account, or signing up for one.

The scan tools have three major releases scheduled throughout the year. The next update is set for September.
