Fleetio made a flurry of announcements on March 25, including the launch of Vendor Portal to help shops manage repairs and administrative work, as well as the acquisition of Auto Integrate, a maintenance authorization platform. The latter was enabled by the addition of $450 million in Series D funding, led by current investor Elephant and new investor Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
"This acquisition [of Auto Integrate] is transformative for our ability to equip customers with the simplest and most efficient solution for fleet maintenance and management," Fleetio CEO Jon Meachin said. "By bringing together Fleetio's comprehensive fleet optimization capabilities with Auto Integrate's specialized maintenance authorization network, we're creating a truly customer-focused, end-to-end solution that addresses the most critical pain points fleet operators face today.”
With the acquisition and funding, Fleetio is now valued at $1.5 billion, with the ability to service more than 8 million vehicles and process in excess of 13 million repair orders across 110,000 shops, the company reported. Prior to the move, Fleetio reported it had a customer base of 1 million vehicles
What is Auto Integrate?
Auto Integrate's software was designed to speed up work by enabling shops to electronically submit repair orders for approval, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency. The unified platform is poised to "eliminate communication barriers between fleet operators and repair facilities, and ultimately keeps vehicles on the road longer at lower costs," according to Terry Bartlett, CEO of Auto Integrate and the newest member of Fleetio's C-suite.
The move was spurred by user feedback to streamline the repair process.
"Our customers have consistently asked for a more integrated approach to maintenance management," said Terry Bartlett, CEO of Auto Integrate, who will join Fleetio's executive leadership team. "By joining forces with Fleetio, we're able to deliver exactly what they need – a unified platform that eliminates communication barriers between fleet operators and repair facilities, and ultimately keeps vehicles on the road longer at lower costs."
Vendor Portal
The addition of Vendor Portal stands to benefit shops that participate in Fleetio's Maintenance Shop Network, creating a centralized platform where they can manage their repairs and marketplace presence, as well as optimize financial performance.
More specifically, Fleetio said this will enable:
Better transaction visibility by allowing customers to view repair order status, payouts, and customer history in a centralized dashboard.
Stronger business insights through the tracking of KPIs to enhance operations and grow vendor relationships, such as maintenance activity, customer accounts, and service trends.
Simplified financial reconciliation for easier access to reports and breakdowns for clearer month-end processing.
“Maintenance shops are the backbone of fleet operations, but managing payments, tracking performance, and handling customer interactions can be overwhelming,” said Miles Rand, director, Product Management, Marketplace at Fleetio. “Without the right tools, these challenges can slow operations and impact profitability. Fleetio’s new Vendor Portal eliminates the guesswork so shops can focus on growing their businesses, delivering quality service, and ensuring fleet vehicles are well-maintained and road-ready.”
Users will also be able to leverage the dedicated self-service Help Center for common vendor-specific questions.
"Their platform makes it easy for Fleetio customers to transact at our service centers, and their team’s commitment to excellence and vendor support is evident every step of the way,” stated Chase Covey, Key Account Manager at Valvoline, which uses Fleetio at its Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations.
