Olympia, Wash., signs on with Chevin Fleet Solutions for integrated fleet management software

Chevin Fleet Solutions recently kicked off the implementation of its web based enterprise fleet management software to support the City of Olympia, Wash.

Chevin Fleet Solutions recently kicked off the implementation of its web based enterprise fleet management software to support the City of Olympia, Wash. strategic fleet management goals and help the Fleet Management team deliver ongoing cost savings.

Having previously used an inflexible financial management system to manage the fleet, Olympia recognized the need to more effectively capture and store complete fleet related data centrally while supporting remote access for is departmental customers across the city.

Once deployed, the uniquely configured FleetWave system will allow Olympia's fleet management team to realize greater control over its operations by automating workshop repair and maintenance scheduling; provide enhanced integration with its fuelling systems, while streamlining the City’s monthly billing process.

Commenting on the partnership, Ron Katz, SVP North American Sales, says: “FleetWave’s uniquely configurable architecture will support the City of Olympia’s complex and very specific equipment management requirements, while allowing the fleet management team to improve preventive maintenance and compliance oversight.

The City of Olympia maintains a diverse municipal fleet of approximately 450 pieces of equipment, fire apparatus and support vehicles, all of which will be managed using the FleetWave system.
