Motor Information Systems offers PartSaver, a data cleansing service that reduces erroneous or invalid truck parts information in Master Parts Databases. This reduction is the key to establishing valid, relevant part numbers associated to industry manufacturers and/or suppliers. PartSaver is the only solution to cleanse data using Motor's All-Makes truck part databases compiled for decades, developed by Subject Matter Experts with years of "real world" experience. In addition, Motor's FleetCross parts interchange database helps to provide alternate vendor enhancements.

PartSaver helps to validate and enhance parts information by incorporating accurate part numbers by brand, with standardized part descriptions and applying the VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) code for maintenance and parts use tracking.

PartSaver saves as much as 15 percent part transaction time when looking up, ordering and completing the procurement process. Inventory duplication may also be reduced, saving an average 20 percent of total inventory costs.

Motor owns and maintains the largest "All-Makes" parts database and interchange in the truck industry and sells licenses to their utilization in the Motor modules. They incorporate a VMRS coding option in their products to provide clearcut tracking capabilities so customers may tie service, parts and labor together.

"Motor's PartSaver service provides more efficient parts information for parts retailers, distributors or fleet managers to better manage purchasing decisions," said Kevin Carr, Motor Information Systems president. "With the additional FleetCross parts interchange and VMRS codes supporting the cleansed Master Parts Database, purchasing departments can use this information to shop around for better pricing and create usage reports by part type."

Register for the Motor webinar at www.Motor.com/partsaver to learn more about how Motor PartSaver can help streamline processes and reduce inventory. The webinar will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 10:00 a.m. EDT and repeated on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.
