Auto analysts conference to kick off North American Auto Show

Outlook conference to be held Jan. 12 in Detroit's Cobo Center Atrium.

The Society of Automotive Analysts (SAA) will hold its 27th Annual Automotive Outlook Conference on the eve of the North American International Auto Show, Sun., Jan. 12, in Detroit's Cobo Center Atrium.

"This event features a comprehensive look ahead to what will impact our industry as well as insightful speakers on timely issues," said SAA president, Anthony Pratt. "This is a must-attend event for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of the hottest topics in the automotive industry."

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Jim Lentz, CEO, North America Region, and president and CEO, Toyota Motor North America, Inc.

Opening remarks begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by an industry and economic overview with presentations from leading analysts and economists, including: Brian Johnson, managing director, Barclays; William Strauss, senior economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Paul Ingrassia, deputy editor-in-chief, Reuters News; Joe White, global auto editor, Detroit bureau chief, Wall Street Journal; Jessica Caldwell, senior directors, industry analysis, Edmunds.com.

An added program highlight will be a special sneak peak preview of the NAIAS by Detroit Free Press auto critic Mark Phelan. A special networking reception follows the formal program.
