ASE conducting transaxle repair tasks survey

Aug. 14, 2024
The survey's responses will be used to direct future ASE certification and technical training efforts.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is conducting a study to find out which automatic transmission/transaxle repair tasks technicians perform most frequently.

Using these insights, the organization will develop and alter certification standards and technical training to meet the industry’s needs with the help of subject matter experts from independent repair shops, dealers, aftermarket suppliers, OEMS, and trainers. Technicians do not need to be ASE Certified to take the survey, which only has seven questions, and those who participate will be entered into a drawing to receive a $50 Cabela gift card. The organization has held similar surveys throughout 2024 so far covering engine repair and parts specialst work.

Those wishing to participate can do so here.
