Wabash signs with Summit Truck Group

Between the end of July and August 31, 2017, Summit Truck Group will transition two Wabash National Trailer Centers in Texas to independent dealer facilities operated by Summit.

Wabash National Corporation, a industrial manufacturer and North America’s leading producer of semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems, announced an agreement with Summit Truck Group to provide sales, parts, and service for Wabash National dry and refrigerated van trailers and truck bodies, as well as Transcraft and Benson platform trailers in select areas of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Summit Truck Group is one of the largest commercial truck dealer groups in the U.S., operating 32 locations across the Southwestern U.S..

“The agreement with Summit Truck Group is another step in executing Wabash National’s strategic growth plan as we expand access and service for our customers in the competitive South Central region,” explained Brent Yeagy, president and chief operating officer. “This is the first time Summit Truck Group has added trailers and truck bodies to its products and services, which speaks to the company’s confidence in Wabash National. The world-class service and values that Summit is known for will serve our customers well.”

Between the end of July and August 31, 2017, Summit Truck Group will facilitate the transition of two Wabash National Trailer Centers in Dallas and San Antonio, Texas, to independent dealer facilities operated by Summit. The newly acquired locations will add to the geographic footprint of Summit Truck Group’s 13 existing locations in Texas and Oklahoma that will sell and service Wabash National vans and truck bodies. Transcraft and Benson products will be stocked and sold at authorized locations in both Dallas and San Antonio.

Summit Truck Group will be fully stocked with new model year Wabash National van trailers, truck bodies, and Transcraft and Benson platform trailers, in addition to being supplied with a full selection of parts.
