Harbor Freight hospital donation update

April 16, 2020
Eric Smidt, founder and owner of Harbor Freight, thanks customers and associates for enabling them to make the hospital donations they have.

On behalf of the entire Harbor Freight Tools family, I want to thank our customers, our associates, and all of the amazing hospitals that made it possible for us to donate our entire supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect the medical professionals caring for COVID-19 patients. Through a highly collaborative effort, we were able to provide local hospitals in every one of the more than 1,000 communities we serve with one or two pallets of protective gloves, N-95 masks, and face shields.

More than 1,500 Harbor Freight associate volunteers were part of this effort, from our corporate offices to our distribution centers where supplies were packed and shipped to the local stores to our store associates who made sure the donations got to the hospitals as quickly as possible. We could not have accomplished this without them.

We all owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers who courageously and selflessly treat COVID-19 patients and to all the first responders, caregivers, and essential workers who demonstrate the true meaning of community every day.

You continue to inspire us all.

With gratitude and best wishes for your health and safety,

Eric Smidt
