East Trailers has appointed Chris Olson as its newest chief executive officer. Olson brings over 25 years of leadership experience in transportation, truck body, and specialty vehicles to the role, and will focus on driving sustainable growth and operational excellence.
“Throughout his career, Chris has consistently driven operational excellence, innovation and cross-functional leadership, with a strong track record of delivering measurable results in complex, high-growth environments,” said Jorge Martínez Madero, CEO of Fultra, the parent company of East Trailers. “So, his leadership will be key to building an agile, efficient and customer-centric operation that will guide East Trailers through this next stage of growth and transformation.”
Prior to joining East, Olson served in companies including The Shyft Group, LEER Group, and Truck Accessories Group, among others. He’s held various account development, strategic planning, engineering, and operations roles at these businesses most recently as vice president of Specialty Vehicles Truck Group with The Shyft Group. He also served as VP of operations – Supply Chain and was director of Advanced Manufacturing at the LEER Group, and was director of advanced manufacturing and acting director for a Truck Accessories facility in Mexicali, Mexico.
He takes the reins from Tome Wiseman, who has led East Trailers for the past year and a half as the company integrated and grew as part of Fultra. Now, Wiseman will continue to lead the Fruhauf Inc. team.
