Ford Pro Intelligence, which offers the company’s software solutions including Ford Pro Telematics, Telematics Essentials, and E-Telematics, has earned ISO 27001 certification for information security management.

This globally recognized standard for information security management sets a high bar for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data.”
ISO/IEC 27001 is a global standard for information security management systems from the International Organization for Standardization. It signifies that a company created a system to manage the risks related to data security owned or handled by the organization and respects certain best practices and principles, including highlighting data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
The systems covered by the certification provide several telematics services, including vehicle and charger alerts, vehicle and driver monitoring, trip history, driver coaching alerts, geofencing, and GPS services. It can also include electric vehicle-specific services, such as vehicle charge and range status notifications.
“This stamp of approval demonstrates our unwavering dedication to responsible data handling,” Dunbar concluded.
