PTEN and Professional Distributor magazines welcome Scott Brown

Brown, an ASE Master Certified L1 Technician, joins the publication’s editorial team as a contributing editor.

Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN) and Professional Distributor magazines announced that Scott Brown has joined their team and will be writing a new column, Diagnostic Tech. 

Brown has a thorough understanding of the challenges technicians experience at the service level. He is an ASE Master Certified L1 Technician and has over 37 years of professional service industry experience.  

Currently, Brown is an independent shop owner in Southern California and is engaged at various levels within the automotive industry. He continuously strives to move the industry forward through education and networking.

Brown Founded Diagnostic Network (diag.net) after 22 years of service at the International Automotive Technicians' Network (iATN), where he retired as company president in 2018.

“Scott is a talented diagnostician, shop owner, and instructor who is on the cutting edge of the latest automotive technologies and repair procedures,” said Kylie Hirko, publisher of PTEN and Professional Distributor magazines at Endeavor Business Media. “He also has a passion for training technicians across the industry.”
