Chicago Pneumatic offers limited-edition tool to coincide with breast cancer awareness month

Sept. 24, 2019
The 1/2" composite impact wrench, No. CP7732C, will be offered in a limited-edition pink colorway, with a portion of sale proceeds being donated to breast cancer research and education.

Chicago Pneumatic enlisted one of its most popular maintenance tools in the fight against breast cancer. The powerful, ultra-compact 1/2” composite impact wrench, No. CP7732C, will be offered in a limited-edition pink colorway, with a portion of sale proceeds being donated to breast cancer research and education. The tool release coincides with October’s international breast cancer awareness month activities, and nationwide Komen Race for the Cure events.

“It’s staggering when we consider all that can be done when we come together as individuals, as a company, and as a community,” said Chicago Pneumatic General Manager, Mark Johnson. “To channel those efforts toward a cause that impacts so many people, friends, and family… that’s a very powerful thing.”

Chicago Pneumatic is also planning an interactive breast cancer awareness and memorial activity for its booth at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Chicago Pneumatic will make an additional donation to breast cancer research for every participant in the soon-to-be announced activity.

Over their lifetime, one in eight women and one in 100 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection is critical in surviving breast cancer. That’s why community education and promoting breast health exams are so important in the fight to beat breast cancer.

“Every woman should know their breasts and know what’s ‘normal’ for them… that’s so important,” said Jennifer Wolf, director of development at Susan G. Komen Charlotte. Komen Charlotte hosts the annual Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Charlotte, and serves the area including Chicago Pneumatic’s U.S. headquarters in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A Chicago Pneumatic team will again participate and fundraise in the Komen Race for the Cure in Charlotte on Saturday, October 5.

“It’s also nice to be part of the community,” added Johnson. “I mean, 15,000 people in downtown Charlotte all coming together — that’s a cool thing to be a part of, and that’s a good thing for us to participate in.”

Registration for the Charlotte area event is still open here, or donations can be made directly to the Chicago Pneumatic team’s fundraising efforts here.

SEMA Show exhibitors and attendees can participate with Chicago Pneumatic’s interactive breast cancer support display at booth number 10104 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The limited-edition CP7732CBC can be purchased directly from Chicago Pneumatic.
