Jan. 21, 2016
The new models are simple to use and offer users some additional features, including “Target Torque Alert”, which can be set to give a warning as the target torque setting is approached.

GearWrench, a hand tool brand known for tools that deliver speed, strength, and access to automotive technicians, today announced the addition of two new electronic torque wrenches to its popular Electronic Torque Wrench line.

The latest additions provide high-quality, updated features, and great value, adding breadth to the overall Electronic Torque Wrench line, according to the company.
End users can now purchase the following new electronic torque wrenches:

o  SKU 85076: 3/8” Electronic Torque Wrench 7.4 - 99.6 ft/lbs
o  SKU 85077: 1/2” Electronic Torque Wrench 25.1 – 250.8 ft/lbs

“The new models are easy to use and include some additional features, such as a vibrating handle that signals when the target torque level is reached so users can let off immediately for more accurate readings,” said Jim Stewart, product manager for GearWrench. “Techs need torque tools that provide accuracy, precision and durability. The additions to the Electronic Torque Wrench line were designed to deliver on those points at a very competitive price."

The new models are simple to use and offer users some additional features, including  “Target Torque Alert”, which can be set to give a warning as the target torque setting is approached. This allows more control so there is less chance of over torqueing a fastener. They also have the added benefit of being able to measure in foot-pounds, inch-pounds or Newton meters (Nm), which increases versatility.

GearWrench Electronic Torque Wrenches offer an accuracy with a tolerance of ±2 percent for clockwise tightening from 20 percent to 100 percent of their full scale. The new electronic torque wrenches come in a blow molded case for secure storage, and are covered under a limited one-year warranty. Additionally, calibration is warranted for 90-days from the date of purchase.
