ALI finalizes 2025 board members, re-elects chairman Doug Brown

Nov. 15, 2024
The ALI Board of Directors will be headed by Doug Brown, with Gary Wainwright serving for another two years as Associate Class representative.

The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) chose its Board of Directors and Board leadership for 2025, including re-electing Doug Brown of Vehicle Service Group for his third one-year term as chairman. Additionally, Gary Wainwright of Weco Inc. will serve another two-year term as the Associate Class representative, and Todd Michalski of Gray Manufacturing Company is filling Stet Schanze’s seat after the latter’s 11 years on the Board and over three years as Chairman.

“We thank Stet for more than a decade of dedicated service to ALI and our lift safety mission,” O’Gorman said. “Under his leadership, ALI established a strategic plan that continues to guide the organization’s actions. He also played a crucial role in the decision to move into a much larger headquarters and to build the ALI LiftLab.”

Heather Almeida continues as secretary/treasurer.

The ALI Board of Directors features representatives of vehicle lift manufacturer members and one representative elected by the ALI Associate Class. The Associate Class is open to all North American organizations holding lift inspections with at least one ALI-certified lift inspector on staff.
