VIDEO: Tech Tip: How to perform an OBD relearn on a Toyota vehicle

Sept. 28, 2020
The OBD relearn in this video will work with a variety of Toyota vehicles including Toyota Camry, Toyota Prius, Toyota Corolla, and any vehicle that has the "OBD relearn" option on your TPMS tool.
After the TREAD Act was mandated in 2007, all vehicles manufactured in the United States beginning in 2008, must be installed with direct or indirect TPMS systems. Most Toyota vehicles are installed with a direct TPMS system. The OBD relearn in this video will work with a variety of Toyota vehicles including Toyota Camry, Toyota Prius, Toyota Corolla, and any vehicle that has the "OBD relearn" option on your TPMS tool, such as the BMW, Nissan, Ford, GMC, and more. When services are performed, such as a tire change or TPMS sensor replacement, in one or more tires of a Toyota, a TPMS relearn is recommended to transfer the sensor information to the vehicle’s ECU.
