J.J. Keller adds MVR monitoring to fleet management system

J.J. Keller & Associates has added motor vehicle records to its Encompass Fleet Management System alongside its other recordkeeping, training, and maintenance features.

“Instead of carriers waiting for an annual MVR pull to discover a driver’s high-risk driving behavior, they can now find out when it happens,” said Frances Crowley Yuronich, senior product manager of technology solutions at J. J. Keller. “This enables carriers to remove unsafe drivers from the road fast and address the behavior before a violation or accident occurs.”

The new feature provides on-demand and ongoing monitoring of drivers’ records, including events such as license suspensions, illegal maneuvers, and speeding. Once such an event occurs, the system can then update a driver’s a MVR and notify the carrier so that they can schedule training for the event.

As well as update MVR reports, the Encompass platform can also provide electronic recordkeeping for fleets, driver training, fuel tax reporting, and vehicle inspections. Some of the system’s maintenance solutions include customizable inspection criterial and maintenance schedules, and notifications on expiring items, such as 30-day and 60-day preventative maintenance schedules or out-of-service vehicles. Additionally, Encompass can include parts inventory management, cost tracking for external repair orders, and daily vehicle inspection tracking.
