Stoughton Lease to install SmartTruck TopKit aerodynamic system on its rental trailers

May 25, 2017
SmartTruck announced that Stoughton Lease will begin installation of TopKits across its entire fleet of rental trailers.

SmartTruck, a leader in fuel-saving trailer aerodynamic solutions for the trucking industry, announced that Stoughton Lease, one of the rental and leasing industry's leading providers of semi-trailers, will begin installation of TopKits across its entire fleet of rental trailers.

"We chose SmartTruck as our aero partner for several important reasons," said Stoughton Lease President Paul Sulewski. "The proven durability of the TopKit, combined with SmartTruck's Limited Lifetime Warranty, gives our customers peace of mind that they will not have to contend with costly damages at the end of the rental or lease period."

"We are thrilled that Stoughton has selected our remarkable TopKit to meet their customers' aerodynamic needs," said Steve Ingham, SmartTruck CEO, who said the installation process would begin immediately. "The adoption of TopKit -- the lightest weight C.A.R.B compliant Aero System available -- by one of the premier trailer companies in the U.S. is an extremely satisfying confirmation of its value to the industry," added John Brown, SmartTruck Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We will be excited to see the operating and fuel costs savings enjoyed by Stoughton's customers using the TopKit System over the next few years," Brown said.

The SmartTruck TopKit Aero System, twice named an HDT Top 20 Product, is an innovative approach to aerodynamically improving fuel mileage without the need for obstructive undertrailer components like side skirts, which limit visibility and access, according to the company. With the SmartTruck TopKit, there is no risk of damage from loading docks or intermodal operations, and cost is comparable to side skirts. Available for both dry vans and reefers with swing or rollup doors, as well as straight trucks, the TopKit Aero System drag-reduction solution is EPA SmartWay Verified and C.A.R.B. compliant.
