Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles: N.A. pilots and plans
Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) offer the commercial vehicle industry a zero-emission solution that is poised to meet the demands of regulations and the global movement to decarbonize transportation. Offering extended range compared to their battery-electric vehicle counterparts, FCEVs may be a viable option for duty cycles demanding more miles. Though there are challenges ahead for wide-spread adoption of the technology, many stakeholders are making significant strides in getting FCEVs onto North American roadways through pilot testing programs to validate the technology and determine how, and when, FCEVs can be integrated into the commercial vehicle space.
The following gallery highlights a spectrum of manufacturers and technology developers that are actualizing FCEV deployments and development.
