ASE hosts diesel aftertreatment technician training session

The session will take place on Dec. 19 and cover the maintenance and operation of diesel aftertreatment systems.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosing a free service technician webinar on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m. ET covering diesel aftertreatment systems and maintenance.

The session will specifically cover aftertreatment systems on late-model diesel trucks, including their operation, diagnostics process, and the common component failures a technician could encounter. Christopher Jongsma of Standard Motor Products will cover how the various parts of the aftertreatment system work together and demonstrate procedures and tips for a completed repair.

Those who wish to register can do so here, with those who attend the live session earning a certificate of attendance. Meanwhile, if a technician finds they cannot attend after registering, they will be able to watch a recorded session if one is produced.
