Kinedyne offers free training on cargo securement

April 9, 2020
The webinar is designed to promote worker safety, education, and a better understanding of cargo securement regulations.

An increasing number of U.S. states and Canadian provinces have suspended truck weight restrictions to allow vehicles to deliver bigger loads of emergency supplies during the coronavirus pandemic. However, it’s important to remember that the regulations for proper cargo securement remain unchanged.

“With many fleets running larger loads than they usually do, it’s critical to remember cargo securement regulations have not been lifted and that they need to take extra steps to ensure they are properly securing their freight,” said Roger Perlstein, vice president – sales and marketing, Kinedyne. “They may need to inspect their current load securement to confirm that it is free of damage and defects, and to add additional cargo securement to both meet DOT requirements and ensure the emergency supplies they’re delivering get to the people who need them.”

Kinedyne is offering a free training webinar on understanding cargo securement regulations as part of International Cargo Securement Awareness Month.

Kinedyne launched International Cargo Securement Awareness Month in 2017 to help fleets and owner-operators focus on the importance of commercial motor vehicle safety and learn how to properly secure cargo in preparation for the annual Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) International Roadcheck. While this year’s Roadcheck has been postponed, International Cargo Securement Awareness Month will still be observed in May.

The webinar “Navigating Cargo Securement Roadcheck Inspections” will be presented live on April 29 at 2 PM EDT. It’s designed to promote worker safety, education, and a better understanding of cargo securement regulations. It covers the latest cargo securement safety information, training best practices, performance criteria, and industry standards to help participants meet roadcheck requirements of U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA).

This webinar is offered to qualified trailer OEMs, dealerships, fleets, and owner-operators as part of Kinedyne’s exclusive Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program. Kinedyne has trained thousands of industry professionals through the program. For the convenience of viewers, the webinar will be able for replay and will be posted on the Kinedyne website when available.

To register for the webinar or watch a replay of the session after April 29, visit kinedyne.com/roadcheck2020.
