Ram Trucks releases 2018 pickup specs

Standout features include an EcoDiesel V-6 engine, a remote exterior switch to activate LED bed lights, a standard backup camera on all models and a Telematics Module for vehicle tracking efficiency.

The Ram Trucks 1500 boasts numerous segment-exclusive features in areas most important to truck buyers. The pickup was designed to support best-in-class fuel efficiency with an exclusive EcoDiesel V-6 engine. Class leading ride and handling is accomplished via a unique link-coil rear suspension system with optional air suspension. Other features, such as Ram Box bedside storage, hidden bins and a flat-load floor, offer unique solutions for cargo. Available in 11 different trim levels, the Ram 1500 has a full-size pickup for everyone. The following features are new for 2018:

  • Ultra-luxurious Limited Tungsten edition
  • Sport model appearance upgrade
  • Factory-installed leather interior option on Rebel models
  • Premium Limited Tungsten model
  • 8.4-inch radios with 4G LTE, HD Radio, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, USB Flip, pinch to zoom and improved resolution
  • Sirius Guardian with SOS Call, Roadside Assistance, Remote Services, Send and Go, and Vehicle Finder
  • Remote exterior switch in truck bed to activate LED bed lights
  • Backup camera standard on all models
  • Fleet Telematics Module for vehicle tracking efficiency

Engine options include:

  • 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine, delivering 27 mpg, 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque
  • 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, delivering 25 mpg, 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with variable-valve timing (VVT) provides up to 22 mpg, 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque
