TreadReader

The Atlas Automotive Equipment TreadReader is a handheld scan tool that provides an instant 3D image of the tire, providing data such as tread depth and adverse wear. Advisory information including misalignment or uneven wear due to under- or over-inflation is also displayed. The unit is lightweight, robust and requires only a few seconds to run over all four tires for instant upload to a smartphone or tablet via the TreadReader app, the company says. This data can then be converted into a hard printout or emailed as a document.
