The Snap-on Sprinter Van Diesel Injector Puller Kit, No. IPK1760, removes stuck injectors in 2.7L Sprinter engines in a fraction of the time it takes using other methods, the company says, helping to avoid damage to the injector or valve cover. After extended use, excessive combustion leaks and corrosion, these injectors cannot be removed by conventional methods and sometimes must be destroyed to extract them. By removing the top of the injector with the tools included in the kit, the injector can be extracted without causing damage. The kit also includes items to clean the injector seat and chase the thread on the clamp hole. It works on Dodge Sprinter 2003 to 2009, 2.7L 2500 and 3500, as well as Freightliner Sprinter 2002 to 2007, 2.7L 2500 and 3500 diesel models.
