The KNIPEX Tools Lineman's Pliers were redesigned to reduce user energy and strain by 25 percent while providing superior cutting power, according to the company. The resigned Lineman's line features a smaller rivet moved closer to the jaws to create an ultra-high leverage design, an oval-shaped design for better cutting of round or oval-shaped cable and a design well-suited for deburring conduit pipes. The pliers are forged and oil hardened out of German, vanadium electric steel and feature precise, induction-hardened (64 HRC) cutting edges for long life and easy cutting of soft, hard and ACSR wire. The pliers have a serrated, cross-hatched knurled gripping zone in the jaws for pulling and gripping applications. The pliers are available with dipped, dual-component grip and 1000V-insulated handles.
