Florida Pneumatic Mfg Corp. and Universal Air Tool Co., Ltd (UK) has agreed upon a merger that became fully effective July 29.
Florida Pneumatic brand air tools have been available since the company’s establishment in 1964. In 1975, Universal Tools (USA) was merged with Florida Pneumatic Mfg Corp.
On July 1, the AIRCAT and NITROCAT brands were also merged into Florida Pneumatic's portfolio of businesses.
Universal Air Tool Co. Ltd (UK) has marketed the same or similar products to Florida Pneumatic since its establishment in 1973 and shares the Universal Tool brand marketed by Florida Pneumatic in North America.
Universal Air Tool Co., Ltd is a leader in the UK automotive market, and the merger with Florida Pneumatic is a valuable strategic step that allows globalization of the brands and businesses.

Universal air Tool Co., Ltd will continue to operate from its HQ and distribution center located in High Wycombe, UK; no changes to the companies operations or sales organization are planned or foreseen.
The broader selection of products available from Florida Pneumatic and the AIRCAT will be used strategically in the UK to broaden the product selection available to the automotive and industrial markets.
