MENOMONEE FALLS, Wisconsin—In late June at the company’s Pipeline 2022 event, Milwaukee Tool announced three new tools to aid the transportation industry’s vehicle maintenance technicians. These include the M18 Fuel 1/4" Lockbolt Tool with One-Key, the REDLITHIUM USB Stick Light with Magnet, and the M12 Fuel 3/8" and 1/4" Extended Reach High Speed Ratchets.
Attendees at the event (previously known as NPS) were given exclusive access to the see and test the new tools, as well as check out dozens of other soon-to-come and newly launched pieces, including a line of flex-head ratchets, a line of transportation maintenance-focused hammers, spark plug sockets, impact sockets, and major improvements to the M12 batteries and the 125+ tools in the M12 lineup.
Pipeline, hosted at the Milwaukee Tool Operations Center, was a sight to behold and essentially a playground for the attending media and professionals—all of whom were given access to new tools and equipment and testing stations to try out the technology for themselves. The automotive-dedicated section of the event space featured engine blocks, popped hoods, bolts, panels, and more for attendees to get hands-on with the new products and truly get a feel for the developments and innovation being presented by Milwaukee Tool.

M18 Fuel 1/4" Lockbolt Tool with One-Key
Launch date: July 2022
The M18 Fuel 1/4" Lockbolt Tool with One-Key is designed to deliver the fastest cordless lockbolt installations with unmatched performance, the company stated, as it eliminates the need for compressors and hoses.
It delivers up to 50% faster installation than other solutions in testing. When equipped with a M18 REDLITHIUM 5.0 battery, users can install up to 1,200 1/4” aluminum Huck Magna-Grip lockbolts on a single charge.
The tool provides increased portability and maneuverability for the user and removes the risk of tripping hazards through its elimination of pneumatic hoses. Designed to withstand harsh shop environments, the tool features an all metal gearcase, impact strength plastics, and a rubber overmold while the optimized ergonomic design provides maximum comfort for all-day use.
“Historically, technicians and installers would need two different tools to accommodate different fasteners, creating inefficiencies when completing multiple applications,” said Eric Rusch, director of product marketing for Milwaukee Tool. “To eliminate the need to switch tools between fasteners, the lockbolt tool can be paired with the appropriate adapter to install Magna-Grip, C6L, C120L, Bobtail, and Hucktainer lockbolts.”
In addition, the M18 Fuel 1/4” Lockbolt to Blind Rivet Tool Conversion Kit enables the lockbolt tool to be converted into a blind rivet installation tool. By utilizing the kit, the tool will be capable of installing 3/16”, 7/32”, 1/4”, and 9/32” aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel blind rivets. These features allow the M18 Fuel 1/4" Lockbolt Tool with One-Key to provide users with the ability to install the widest range of riveting fasteners on the market with one solution.
As an added benefit, One-Key provides the ability to track, manage, and secure the lockbolt tool.

REDLITHIUM USB Stick Light with Magnet

Milwaukee Tool will expand their REDLITHIUM USB Lighting Solutions with the REDLITHIUM USB Stick Light with Magnet, which provides heavy-duty and automotive technicians with a premium lighting solution for general task and inspection work.
The REDLITHIUM USB Stick Light with Magnet is designed to deliver utility for lighting in tight spaces. The light features 220 degrees of vertical light head rotation and is paired with a slim light blade design and inspection light, making this solution ideal for engine work. Featuring four output modes: front, back, dual, and inspection, the light provides users with control over their beam light.
The Stick Light delivers 550 lumens of TRUEVIEW High-Definition Output and two hours of run-time on high. For additional run-time, this light can be paired with the REDLITHIUM USB Stick Light Charging Dock, featuring magnetic and keyhole mounting options. Users can keep a spare REDLITHIUM USB Battery in the second bay to swap out when more run-time is needed. Built to withstand the toughest jobsite conditions, this light is IP54 rated for protection from most chemicals found in shop or on site, and impact resistant for drops up to 6’.

Milwaukee Tool announced an upgrade to the M12 System with the new M12 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT CP2.5 and XC5.0 Battery Packs. M12 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT batteries deliver 25% more power on high-demand tools while running 25% cooler through heavy applications, allowing users to push the capabilities of their tools and maximize productivity.
“In 2018, Milwaukee introduced M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT batteries, elevating the performance of the entire M18 platform,” said Zafir Farooque, product manager. “With the introduction of HIGH OUTPUT to the M12 platform, the batteries are pushing the tool capabilities of existing and future M12 tools. The M12 Fuel 3/8" and 1/4" Extended Reach High Speed Ratchets provide speed with a slimmer head profile and an extended neck to deliver long reach in tight spaces. An investment cast steel yoke housing paired with advanced motor capabilities provides users with durability. With 450 rpm, the Extended Reach High Speed Ratchets allow users to complete their tasks faster than ever before. The cordless ratchets deliver the performance of a pneumatic ratchet with up to 35 ft.-lbs. max torque, the same torque output as Milwaukee’s M12 Fuel High Speed Ratchets.
