Q: Is there a simple way to increase the performance of my air tool?
A: Replacing standard quick change couplers and studs with “high flow” quick change couplers and studs will increase the tools performance. This step is not recommended for rotary abrasive tools, as the free speed is likely to exceed the manufacturers rated speed. Consequently, the tool may then exceed the maximum rated speed of the abrasive discs or grinding stones being used with the tool.
