The Tang-Thru Screwdrivers from Genius Tools allow techs to use the screwdriver as a chisel in order to hit it with a hammer. All screwdrivers are made of chrome vanadium with hardened tips, and come with ergonomically designed handles made from PVC and rubber to provide better grip and comfort. Screwdrivers come in slotted, Philips and Posidriv. They are available individually or in sets of eight or 12.
The review
Paul Leow, owner of Paul’s Auto in Wauwatosa, Wis., liked the Genius Tang-Thru Screwdrivers — especially the grips.
“They have a nice, solid grip,” Paul said. “With the Philips, you can concentrate on pushing in hard for better torque.”
The shaft, though, is the key to these screwdrivers for Paul.
“Since they don’t have a rounded shaft, you can use a wrench on the shaft to actually aid with loosening on stubborn or rusted fasteners. … For driving tools on, too, these screwdrivers have a solid shaft all the way through the handle, so you can drive on the top of it without splitting the handle.
“These are nice screwdrivers, they have a nice weight and feel. … I would definitely recommend buying these tools because these are very good screwdrivers.”
