Aftercooler designed for cooling compressed air

New from Saylor-Beall is an aftercooler specifically designed to make cooling compressed air more efficient. According to the company, mounting the heat exchanger in front of the electric motor and placing a high-flow fan on the electric motor shaft allows air to flow over the compressor without being blocked, so the compressor runs cooler than it would using other belt guard-mounted aftercoolers. This assembly is also completely tank-mounted, piped and assembled prior to delivery. Saylor-Beall feels this design helps save floor space and lower installation costs. An optional water separator/filter is also available that the company says can automatically remove water, 40 percent of all aerosols and particles to 3 microns.
