Three inches of additional rise are now included as a standard feature on the extended-height DP10A from Forward Lift, providing extra headroom and work area for technicians.

Tech Tip: Look for lifts with additional rise and extended-height options

July 10, 2013
Additional rise allows users to lift a vehicle further off the floor for increased head room, while height extensions provide the required additional clearance to the shut-off bar.

Today's vehicle lifts offer many features to increase technician comfort and productivity. Two options that can greatly improve two-post lift working conditions are additional rise and extended height. Additional rise allows users to lift a vehicle further off the floor for increased head room, while height extensions provide the required additional clearance to the shut-off bar. Extended-height lifts also give technicians access to work on tall trucks, vans and SUVs.

To provide maximum value, Forward Lift has combined these two features and made them standard on its new, extended-height, two-post DP10A model. Three inches of additional rise are now included as a standard feature when the extended-height option is ordered to provide technicians with more working area and improved ergonomics.

With a total height to the overhead shut-off bar of more than 13', the extended-rise DP10A has enough room to raise the bottom of a vehicle more than 6-1/2' off the ground. The inclusion of additional rise increases the DP10A's versatility and streamlines the ordering process.
