Tech Tip: Find a Certified Lift Inspector to inspect your vehicle lifts
July 3, 2013
Use the interactive online database of ALI Certified Lift Inspectors to find a qualified lift inspector in your area.
Vehicle lifts should be inspected annually, but who is qualified to carry out the inspections? How do you find an inspector in your area? Fortunately, the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) has developed an interactive online database of ALI Certified Lift Inspectors to make it easy to find a qualified lift inspector in your area.
ALI, created the Lift Inspector Certification Program to provide third-party qualification of vehicle lift inspectors and to certify those who demonstrate that they are capable of properly inspecting vehicle lifts. The program is designed to take the "guesswork" out of finding a qualified lift inspector and to provide peace of mind to shops.
The searchable database of certified inspectors can be accessed at www.autolift.org/inspectors.php. Each database entry includes the inspector's individual certification number, company, contact information and photo. The database is growing daily as additional inspector candidates complete the program requirements.
