This composition allows it to be safe in working with metals, rubber, plastic, PVC, Viton, paints and un-rusted steel. Evapo-Rust is so effective, the company says that it's used by the 8th Infantry Division in Ft. Hood, TX for maintenance of the M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank.
