Dec. 9, 2015

The following information is relevant when recommending grease for an application:

  • What type of equipment needs lubrication (i.e. rotating bearing, non-rotating pin/bushing, two materials sliding on each other, etc.)?
  • Environmental conditions (hot, cold, dusty, wet, etc.).
  • If a rotating bearing, what is the rpm?
  • Carrying loads (heavy, light, impacts).
  • What does the equipment manufacturer recommend?
  • What access is available for greasing?
  • Is a long interval between greasing desired?
