    Bridging PCs and ECU networks The ES6520 by ETAS Inc. is a service diagnostics interface between a control PC and vehicle ECU networks. The ES5620 provides the ability to support all vehicle interface protocols with a single tool. Additionally, it can communicate with more than one vehicle ECU at a time, allowing a technician to do sophisticated vehicle system-level diagnostics. ES6520 hardware includes a microprocessor, internal memory, power supply with battery back-up, and vehicle I/O interfaces. The ES6520's firmware is built on a Linux-based, real-time operating system. Functionality includes J2534 pass-through/gateway, D-PDU API, multiple diagnostic and host session management, secure host communications, protocol drivers, and built-in data logging. For mass data storage, the ES6520 has an expandable internal MMC/SD card slot.
