Diesel Laptops has acquired Preteckt, which uses AI technology to provide predictive maintenance alerts and data. This addition adds remote vehicle monitoring and predictive AI to Diesel Laptops’ solutions.
"For years, I've said that the future of our industry is in 24/7 vehicle monitoring, with diagnostics and repair plans developed proactively," said Tyler Robertson, CEO of Diesel Laptops. "We already do this today for in-shop customers, but this acquisition allows us to expand that capability to the millions of commercial trucks on the road that keep America moving."
The move gives Diesel Laptops access to Preteckt’s AI technology and machine learning. With its system, Preteckt can provide real-time repair data for vehicles and send personalized repair plans to technicians by email.
While Preteckt primarily serves the transit and coach bus sector, Diesel Laptops intends to expand this offering to additional markets by integrating Preteckt’s software into Diesel Laptops’ solutions.
