Noregon has released Truck Check Up, a California Air Resources Board-approved software for scanning and submitting vehicle information to CARB to meet Clean Truck Check (HD/IM) requirements.
“We recognize our customers' need for a reliable application to ensure compliance with the latest CARB regulations," said Dr. Jessie O’Sullivan, VP of Product Management for Noregon. “Through Truck Check Up, fleets can keep their own vehicles compliant and service centers can offer their customers a valuable service.”
The Clean Truck Check Act mandates that non-gasoline heavy-duty vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 lbs. must pass an emissions inspection to operate or travel in California. These inspections can be done by certified technicians and an approved evaluation program, who can then submit a vehicle’s information to CARB for a pass or fail grade.

To use Truck Check Up, a certified technician can connect to a vehicle, input their credentials, and then allow the software to scan the vehicle. Truck Check Up then sends the vehicle information to CARB, which emails the results directly to the tester.
“Our JPRO customers will be able to launch Truck Check Up directly from JPRO,” explained O’Sullivan. “These customers will greatly benefit from the option to first run a JPRO Vehicle Readiness scan to check for issues that could result in a failed inspection.”
Shops will be able to purchase Truck Check Up on its own or as a bundle with the company’s DLA+ 3.0 adapter kit.
