Q: What is the most effective way to repair a broken exhaust manifold stud?

A: ProMAXX has design-engineered a complete solution that simply bolts right onto the cylinder head while in the vehicle with as little as one mounting fastener. A precision guide bushing facilitates dead-center and perfectly perpendicular alignment to the broken stud. A built-in depth gauge helps you set your depth to prevent drilling into a water cooling passage or cam shaft bearing. Once the machining (drilling) is complete, usually in about 40 seconds, simply remove the ProMAXX ProPlate and replace with our patented ProCutter into the drill. In about five seconds, The ProCutter removes any corrosion, burr, and rust which prohibits extraction much easier. The ProCutter even reduces the risk of a broken extractor. Specially formulated drill and tapping lubricant is supplied with each ProKit and ProRatchet option as well making the repairs easier and hassle free.
