PIthon medium duty propane autogas engine

The Powertrain Integration PIthon 8.0L V8 medium duty propane autogas engine for trucks and buses is rated at 339hp with 495 ft/lbs of torque. It is certified for more than 14,000 lbs GVWR and validated to 33,000 lbs GVWR. The PIthon intake manifold incorporates long runners tuned for optimal fuel mixture and increased torque, revised water passages to improve rear cylinder cooling and a provision for off-board engine coolant. The fuel system sequentially meters propane to each combustion chamber. The aluminum front end accessory drive (FEAD) system reduces tensioner and pulley count to lessen parts to be potentially serviced. The FEAD accommodates single, dual, and no air conditioning compressor options with either hydraulic brakes or air brakes.
