Noregon updates JPRO Professional with increased off-highway support
Noregon released the latest update for their diagnostic and troubleshooting application, JPRO Professional 2023 v2, keeping off-highway coverage their main focus with the JPRP updates, the company said in a press release.
“We remain committed to adding the coverage, features, and tests that our customers request in order to service their entire fleet,” explained Jason Hedman, Noregon Product Manager. “Our customers that operate or service mixed fleets are greatly benefiting from diagnosing their vehicles and equipment from the same application.”
Off-highway coverage is available at no additional cost to subscribers and now includes improved bi-directional support for Komatsu equipment, including cylinder cut out tests, DPF regens, and fuel leakage tests.
A Virtual Equipment option is included in the update for students and technicians to simulate a live connection on off-highway equipment and practice diagnostics.
Noregon has added on-highway features as well, including features and tests for Detroit engines, Detroit Assurance, Bendix brakes, Bendix Driver Assistance Systems, and more.
“One of the first troubleshooting steps a technician should check is whether the ECM’s firmware is up to date," Hedman said about the new ECM Update Alerts feature. "Outdated firmware can cause all sorts of issues that can lead techs down a time-consuming rabbit hole, when the solution is as simple as flashing the ECM. JPRO now alerts users when a firmware update is available for major component manufacturers like Cummins and Detroit.”
