SmartPTO

The Viatec SmartPTO is a universal electric power takeoff unit that eliminates the need for idling by utility trucks. Its modular design allows it to be easily implemented for most applications. Should a heavy duty cycle utilize all of SmartPTO’s battery, the truck can easily be switched to operate its conventional PTO. The SmartPTO can be integrated into existing vehicles and has the option of adding additional battery capacity. A SmartPTO truck can save up to 1,890 gallons of fuel annually and eliminate approximately 42,300 lbs of carbon dioxide, says the company.
