EUFMC to emphasize driving safety, sustainability, and technical expertise

Nov. 16, 2021
The Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference is scheduled for June 5-8, 2022, at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC), the educational conference for fleets operating utility equipment, will be held June 5-8, 2022, at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Virginia.

“Driving safety, sustainability, and technical expertise is the focus of the EUFMC,” said Jeffrey Schneider, EUFMC President and Manager of Transportation at Louisville Gas & Electric/Kentucky Utilities. “Through presentations by fleet executives, suppliers, and industry experts, as well as roundtables for addressing common challenges and sharing best practices and solutions, our attendees will find great value as we return to our annual in-person conference in 2022.”

At EUFMC, fleet representatives gain knowledge about the design, procurement, application, operation, management, and maintenance of utility equipment by interacting with manufacturers and suppliers of vehicles, equipment, products, and services for their operations. EUFMC plans include a drive-through utility equipment demonstration and an equipment show with more than 60 displays.

EUFMC attendees in Colonial Williamsburg regularly include more than 125 fleet representatives, and over 350 representatives from 100 manufacturers.

“We have had multiple benefits from attending this conference, from getting resolutions to equipment issues to finding vendors that have helped with our productivity level and beneficial cost savings, as well as countless relationships built with other fleet managers where you can share ideas, new technologies trialed and triumphed, and discuss challenges,” said Melissa Stewart, fleet technical services manager, Alabama Power Company.

Attendance fees for EUFMC 2022 have been set and the conference will accept payments in 2021 for company budgeting purposes. Fees for fleet professionals are refundable. Supplier fees are refundable as noted in the Conference Rules and Regulations.
