The Next-Gen X15 diesel engine from Cummins is built on the HELM 15L fuel agnostic engine platform and will be compliant with 2027 EPA regulations. Built for on-highway heavy-duty trucks, it features an optimized powertrain integration with the Endurant transmission and Meritor driveline, and offers ratings up to 605 hp and 2,050 ft.-lb. of torque. Fuel efficiency and drivability are enhanced by features including predictive gear shifting, on-ramp boost, and hill roll out. The engine also features a belt-driven, high output 48-volt alternator and aftertreatment heater solution.
