Workhorse's Vortec V8 4.8 liter engine brings class-leading power and torque to walk-in truck users while improving fuel economy, maintenance and overall performance. It provides seven to 10 percent better fuel economy than Workhorse's preveious standard gas engine, and it has 270 horsepower at 5200 rpm. The pistons have also been reshaped and profiled differently to allow tighter tolerances between piston and cylinder without additional wear.
