Bullet Proof Diesel has released a new heavy duty oil cooler for the Ford 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine - an industry first.
Immediately available, the BulletProof 6.7L Power Stroke Oil Cooler has been engineered to provide increased cooling capability for trucks that experience heavy tow or heavy load conditions.
Bullet Proof Diesel released oil cooling systems for earlier Power Stroke variants, the 6.0L and 6.4L. These systems corrected inherent pattern failures in the designs of the stock oil cooler units. More recently, the engineering team at Bullet Proof Diesel sought to take on the challenge of designing an increased-capacity oil cooler for the Ford 6.7L Power Stroke, which has been in use since 2011.
The resulting BulletProof 6.7L Power Stroke Oil Cooler features an approximate 20 percent increase in surface area compared to the OE unit. Larger-than-stock coolant pathways within the oil cooler resist plugging caused by debris in coolant. A direct fit, bolt-on replacement, the BulletProof 6.7L Oil Cooler can be, in most cases, installed in approximately one hour with common tools.
Testing has revealed a 10 percent decrease in oil/coolant temperature deltas under operating conditions when the BulletProof oil cooler is used in place of the OE oil cooler. This strengthened cooling capacity offers better protection to engine components that are susceptible to damage from oil that has become less viscous due to heat.
With a price point in the range of a stock replacement, the BulletProof 6.7L Power Stroke Oil Cooler can provide benefits to both the private truck owner as well as fleet professionals.
