Fiberglass bodies

Altec fiberglass bodies feature an integrated, lightweight composite core material manufactured with cross-linked polymer foam and fiberglass to offer high specific strength, more payload and the opportunity for increased fuel efficiency. Secure, heavy duty, double-panel doors offer a watertight, double bulb seal to provide protection from the elements. Large, heavy duty six-point hinges are applied with a blind fastener, which eliminates a leak point in the outer shell of the body. Featuring a double-bolted locking cylinder and molded gasket seal to prevent any water intrusion, the bodies come standard with stainless steel latches that are waterproof and rust resistant. A visual latch indicator shows if the door is not securely closed.
