The axles, available in single drive 4x2 or tandem 6x2 configurations with ratios from 2.28 to 5.88, provide smoother performance and better fuel economy, according to the company. The 4x2 single drive axle has a weight rating of up to 23,000 lbs and a 1,750-lb torque capacity. The 6x2 tandem, featuring a single drive and tag axle, has a weight rating up to 40,000 lbs, a torque capacity of 1,750 ft/lbs and can be applied to weight-sensitive applications. Because it does not have a rear carrier or inter-axle differential, it has fewer moving parts.
