Helping municipal and private refuse customers meet clean air mandates and operate with greater environmental accountability, Peterbilt will soon offer factory installation of natural gas engines for its low-cab-forward Model 320. Peterbilt will begin limited production of the Model 320 with the Cummins-Westport C8.3G natural gas engine with a liquid natural gas fuel system later this year, and full production is scheduled for the first quarter of 2004. A dual-fuel (diesel and liquid natural gas) Caterpillar C-11 engine will be offered later in 2004.
